The institution is recognised by Government of Karnataka, AICTE and PCI, New Delhi and is a constituent college of KLE University, Belgaum.The institution is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, AICTE, New Delhi for 5 years.

B.Pharm Course

Eligibility:

Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Candidates who have passed D.Pharm course approved by Pharmacy Council of India shall also be eligible to this course and shall be admitted directly to III semester.

Duration: The course of study for B.Pharm shall extend over a period of four academic years and three academic years for those admitted to III semester directly.

Industrial Tour and Training:

Every candidate shall undergo practical training in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing House/ Approved Hospital/CSIR research labs for a period of not less than one hundred and fifty hours to be covered in not less than 45 days after completing VI semester or VIII semester. Candidate should submit two copies of the training report duly certificated by the authorities of the training center in which he/she has undergone training duly accepted and certified by the Head of the Department.
Candidates studying in final year of the course shall visit several pharmaceutical manufacturing houses as a supplement to their academic training and submit a report to the satisfaction of the Head of department where he/she has studied.

Course of Study :

The duration of B.Pharm course shall be for a period of 4 years comprising 8 semesters.

A CANDIDATE WHO HAS PASSED B.PHARM DEGREE EXAMINATION OF KLE UNIVERSITY OR B.PHARM EXAMINATION OF ANY OTHER RECOGNIZED INDIAN UNIVERSITY ESTABLISHED BY LAW IN INDIA OR ANY OTHER DEGREE COURSES IN PHARMACY RECOGNIZED AS EQUIVALENT BY KLE UNIVERSITY OR PHARMACY COUNCIL OF INDIA.(PCI) AND/OR ALL INDIA COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION (A I.C.T.E,) FOR THIS PURPOSE AND WHO HAS SECURED NOT LESS THAN 50% OF THE MAXIMUM MARKS (AGGREGATE OF FOUR YEARS) PRESCRIBED FOR THE QUALIFYING EXAMINATION SHALL BE ELIGIBLE FOR ADMISSION TO THE M.PHARM COURSE.

FOR SC / ST / CATEGORY-I (KARNATAKA) CANDIDATES A PASS IN B.PHARM EXAMINATION IS ELIGIBLE.

Duration:

THE COURSE OF STUDY INCLUDING SUBMISSION OF DISSERTATION ON THE TOPIC REGISTERED SHALL BE OF 24 MONTHS (TWO YEARS) DURATION FROM THE COMMENCEMENT OF ACADEMIC TERM.

Course of study:

THE STUDY OF M.PHARM COURSE SHALL BE OF ANNUAL SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES M.PHARM PART-I, EXTENDING FOR TWELVE MONTHS FROM THE COMMENCEMENT OF ACADEMIC TERM AND M.PHARM PART-II OF TWELVE MONTHS DURATION. AT THE END OF M.PHARM PART-I, THERE SHALL BE A UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION FOR M.PHARM PART-I. AT THE END OF M.PHARM PART-II, THE CANDIDATE SHALL SUBMIT A DISSERTATION ON THE TOPIC APPROVED BY THE UNIVERSITY.

Course of Study:

THE DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME SHALL BE FOR A MINIMUM PERIOD OF TWO/THREE YEARS AND A MAXIMUM OF FOUR/FIVE YEARS FROM THE DATE OF REGISTRATION FOR FULL TIME/ PART TIME SCHOLARS RESPECTIVELY.
